Victoria Watts



Victoria Watts has been exhibiting since 2002, with her first solo painting exhibition in 2005, followed by numerous solo exhibitions in both Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. Watts’ works encompass urban and rural landscapes as well as portraits and the occasional still life.


Paintings regularly selected as Finalist works in various art competitions including: the Black Swan Prize for Portraiture; Portia Geach Memorial Portrait Award, The Hidden Faces of the Archibald the Victorian refusès exhibition; Albany Art Prize; invitational Tattersall Club Landscape Prize; Muswellbrook Art Prize; Callen Art Award, and the Art Gallery of New South Wales Refusès exhibition (Wynne). Painting have also been selected as Semi-Finalists for The Royal Society of Portrait Painter, London; and the Doug Moran Portrait Prize.


“Modernist Icon” a painting of the brutalist Council House building in Perth won the Black Swan Prize for Heritage, (2014).

“Heroes” a painting depicting three war veterans participating in industrial therapy, making clothes pegs as part of Work Group at the Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital, won the Popular Choice Award in the Albany Art Prize, (2016)
