Michael Peck’s latest exhibition, ‘The Landing’ opens at Metro Gallery this Wednesday 16th November. This much anticipated show will feature 16 of Peck’s stunning large scale oil paintings, and over 40 ink studies on paper.

Michael Peck, 'Flight', 140cm x 250cm, Oil on Linen, 2011
Peck’s striking works in ‘The Landing’ are dedicated to his late Grandfather’s, both of whom fought in WWII. The paintings feature a fragile, nostalgic light captured within a them, giving his landscapes and subjects a luminescent glow. The sepia hues he uses enhance and almost exaggerate his technical prowess, the canny ability to capture vivid texture, and create a timeless nature to his subject matter in their evocative surroundings.

Peck’s works are exquisite to behold in the flesh, and it is worth seeing the collection of Ink Drawings that accompany his paintings, providing insight to his working progress, as well as beautiful pieces in their own right.
